The Mission of the South Carolina Child Care Resource and Referral Network is to provide leadership, support, and resources to local childcare resource and referral agencies to enhance their efforts to build a diverse high quality child care system accessible to all South Carolina families.
The primary task of the network is to coordinate the activities and services of the child care resource and referral (CCR&R) agencies in South Carolina.
The Network office works closely with each regional CCR&R to ensure a high quality of services delivery and accountability. Regional CCR&R agencies:
- Help families find child care and provide them with information on selecting healthy, safe and quality care.
- Provide professional development training opportunities and technical assistance to child care providers.
- Supply employers with consultation and childcare benefits for their employees. [***check with CCR&R to see if they have a tool kit for child care and the work place]
- Provide community resources to funders, legislators and others by tracking the supply, demand, cost, quality and critical issues.
- Help families and providers care for children with special needs.
